This is a Philosophical Treatise on the Seven Stages of Alchemy from the Original, Radical Hermeticism that pre-dated Hebraic, Christian, and any other appropriating or distorting inversions of this Way. The Hermetic Mysteries are the synthesis of the Indo-European or Hyperborean gnosis of the Greco-Roman pagans as well as the heritage Egyptian culture. Such a heritage is found in the foundation of Greece with Solon, Pythagoras and Plato among many others seeking initiation at these ancient Kemetic centers.
The alchemical process is one of cycles, of phases of larger processes that are internal and external, exoteric and esoteric. There is so much dross, so much toxins and contamination that the process to transmutation must be undertaken over and over again until the bonds of atoms weaken, the structure and rigidity of physics changes within the subtle microcosm of the crucible. The forces of fate and destiny that become the law of biology, or that form the construct of matter that define a given existence or component shift, expand, and lose the rigidity of imposed form. This is the difference between transmutation and mutation.
This impossible task, this Great Work is a lifetime of yearning for the golden state of immortals and Gods. It is essential to become the True Human Being, to be divested of all that is rotten, impure, malignant, of all that limits and obscures that authentic purity of Being. This is the Way of Immortality, the Great Work of this Life. It is the alchemical method of exaltation beyond the Abyss and the Decay of Being. This text is also a prologue to the Azoth trilogy which is an exegesis and unfolding of this System into practical exoteric and esoteric tasks, ordeals and initiations.
Finally, and perhaps most essentially, this is a meta-sigil of our own struggle, yearning, and striving against the obstacles of the Path. Of our own weakness and failures, of internal and external pressures, sickness, stumbling, sacrifice, and loss. This was composed as an act of alchemical striving to transcend out of the cycles that arrive at an abysmal putrefaction, a suffocating sense of failure, a dark impasse and fettered sinking into dissolution.
