If there is ever a type of autopsy conducted on the Western Tradition, of Western Culture and Civilization, it will assuredly find a specific source of the contagion. This is a metastasizing and toxic infection of the arts, spirituality, and esoterica that rots away the foundation and worldview of the heirs to the legacy of the ancestors. The conflation of so many distortions, deviations, and inversions of the Hermetic Way was perhaps the most essential target in the Occult Wars. As the ancient world fell to these new cults, the temples, libraries and intiatory centers were destroyed, masters and disciples were scattered and those that failed to escape were executed. This vacuum of true initiation was filled with the false occult lodges and their naive minions who blended in the source of the infection and destruction with authentic teachings. These lodges used these outer trappings and symbols as tactics to recruit and ‘crowd source’ and consolidate occult knowledge and use it to weaponize virtually every aspect of reality. The deviations we can identify as the kabbalists, the Masonic groups, the New Age, the pop occultists Golden Dawn/Thelema, and all the related degenerate groups that use these groups as their template and foundation. We seek and presence a completely separate and distinct Tradition, one free from the infections of these groups and that retains an authentic lineage from kabbalistic/Masonic influences.
The authentic Hermetic teachings were the last traces of this Way of Immortality, surviving in various cultic centers and hidden within various sects. To the new waves of the false demiurge, this new sorcery/religion that spawned so many other extremes, declared war on the old world, the Gods, and sought to separate humanity from even the notion or trace of memory of such a Way. What they could not destroy, they coopted, assimilated and appropriated, using the symbols and tactics of plagiarists and false scribes to divert and subvert the esoteric traditions, blending them in with worldviews and theological dogma that are irreconcilable with the core doctrine of the Hermetic and all alchemical traditions.
It was at a certain stage that the understanding of a vast and universal wisdom of the ancients was being recovered by various adepts. The Hermetic texts were often protected within Arabian lands, within crypto-Hermetic groups like the Ikwhan Al-Safa, and Sufi brotherhoods, in gnostic and alchemical centers such as in Syria. But due to various factors of crusades and language, and also in the usurious trading and other such practices, there came to be a fascination with Kabbalistic mysticism. There were those who used this as a code, and who retained the essence of the Hermetic teachings, and there were those that sought to infect pure Hermeticism with this deviant and abstract spiritual infection. This is the time the Masonic guilds were infiltrated from building sacred sites in Europe to the kabbalistic and Solomonic goals of their third temple. The Hermetic Paideia
A small Hermetic Study Group of Classical Pagan Hermeticism studying the methods and Way of Hermes. Topics include Immortality, astrotheology/astrology, herbalism/visionary elixirs and entheogens, the celestial spheres, alchemy, initiation, the Mysteries, and Philosophy as a Rite of Rebirth and the Hermetic Weltanschauung. The reality of the Quest is the cost of texts has put so many texts out of the reach of all but the most wealthy. We have invested in small, artisan productions from state of the art archiving technology to reproduce these works to Members in a sustaining Invisible College and scribal House of Life for the Hermetic teachings.
